RIVERSIDE HEARING AID
CENTER SERVICES

Hearing history
Initially we will do a social and hearing assessment. We need to fully understand your present needs: who you are, how you live, and what concerns you’re having, and to determine if hearing aids will help you.

Video otoscopic check
We can inspect your ear canals using an electronic device that reproduces an enlarged image of the inside of your ear to a viewing monitor in our evaluation room.

Hearing evaluation
A licensed hearing aid dispenser will look for impacted wax or other unusual pathogenic conditions. Because we will neither diagnose nor treat any physiological condition, if one exists, you will be immediately referred to an appropriate medical specialist. Then a pure tone, audio-metric threshold test is performed. You will listen to tone signals at different frequency and amplitude levels to verify what you’re hearing and at what loudness levels. This will help determine if hearing aids will help you.

Speech assessment
Because you may be hearing sounds but not understanding words, a speech discrimination test is administered. Also, at this time, a secondary auditory protocol is run to confirm the potential benefit of amplification.

Family consultation
A licensed hearing aid dispenser will take the time to explain the results in understandable terms and how to best help the hearing impaired.

Batteries
Even the best hearing instruments are only as good as the batteries that power them. Exclusive gold-plated and purple custom batteries provide optimal electrical conductivity and are the world’s longest-lasting hearing instrument batteries.

Free Warranty
All new instruments carry a full 1-3 year warranty. This coverage includes:

• Repair due to internal component failure
• Repair due to visible or external damage to the shell/case
• Remakes due to improper instrument fit

Repair services
We offer the services of highly trained and experienced technicians. Whether it’s routine maintenance or extensive repairs.
